Red Earth Maxi Dress

Creamy zig zag patterns dance on deep hues of orange and red. The Red Earth Maxi is a zero-waste product, designed from leftover materials that would otherwise have gone to waste. Each dress is made by putting together 16-18 panels of fabric, creating a flowy and effortless silhouette.

All Istani products are currently available on a pay-what-you-can basis. I chose this model to close out Istani’s clothing chapter in a way that feels true to my values: care, access, and honesty. I don’t believe in scarcity tactics or gimmicks. I want these pieces to move into the world with integrity, and for you to choose a price that feels possible and real for you. 

Cloth: Covers the full cost of production and my labor in design, storytelling, and running the studio.

Yarn: Covers materials + labor + part of the design and studio costs. Near the wholesale rate; what a stockist would pay

Fiber: Covers the essentials: fabric, printing, and stitching.
